Mini-review: This harmless and pleasant tale of Moorish Spain is particularly delightful for its cast: Raf Vallone (who plays a good-natured villain), Jeff Cooper (of Kaliman fame), Ruben Rojo (Cooper's sidekick and best remembered for his performance in EL BARON DEL TERROR/THE BRAINIAC), Luciana Paluzzi (Bond villainess, but a genie here), Ricardo Palacios (BLOOD OF FU MANCHU's Sancho Lopez), heartthrob Perla Cristal, and, of course, Paul Naschy in a small but not insignificant role as Chantal, one of the chief palace servants. Moorish locations and sunny weather also make the Sidney Pink production shine.

American DVD from East West Entertainment., marketed toward children and available for as low as 99 cents. Released either in late 2005 or early 2006. A dupey "public domain" release.

here performed to perfection by an unidentified dancer.
